Yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security signed more federal contracts than any other agency — one hundred fifty-three million dollars across one hundred sixty-nine awards.

The biggest individual contract went to Tutor Perini Corporation. Eighty-two million for Coast Guard housing in Kodiak, Alaska.

Across the whole government, two hundred eighty-seven prime contracts were signed. Total: five hundred thirty million dollars.

That's forty-seven percent above the same Friday last week.
